About
Hi, I’m Amy, a dedicated professional with a passion for governance and executive support. My journey started with a customer service apprenticeship, and since then, I’ve worked my way through a variety of roles in the healthcare and education sectors. I began my career at Health Education England (East Midlands) as a Medical Education Administrative Assistant, where I supported junior doctors in their training leave requests and worked closely with managers on continuous improvement projects. From there, I transitioned into roles at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH), including Outpatient Administrator, Divisional PA, and Therapy Governance Support Lead, where I honed my skills in managing calendars, inboxes, arranging meetings, and providing administrative support at a senior level.
A pivotal moment in my career was when I found my passion for management and senior level support while serving as a Divisional PA. It was here that I discovered how much I enjoyed supporting others, building relationships with diverse teams, and helping to streamline processes.
Today, I work as a Governance Professional at L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, supporting 12 Academy Governing Bodies (AGBs) and managing various governance-related tasks such as minute-taking, training, and parental complaints. My work here has further developed my stakeholder engagement skills and deepened my commitment to making a positive impact.
What drives me? Helping people. I am passionate about making the lives of those around me easier and more impactful. Whether it’s managing complex calendars, organising high-stakes meetings, or supporting teams with governance responsibilities, I find fulfillment in being a reliable resource for others.
In my personal life, being a present, loving mum to my two boys is a big motivation for me. I am constantly striving for a balance between excelling in my career and giving my family the time and attention they deserve. I’m also excited about furthering my qualifications in executive support to continue growing professionally.
